14 February 1999 - The first version of the Combine Commander (CCom) is released. The HoloCom also featured an Auto-Refresh function, Hidden Structures, Secret Rooms, Personal Messages and different travel speeds. The HoloCom client allowed the player to travel through space, to move around on the surface of planets, to visit buildings and to role-play with other Combine players. The second program, HoloCom, was the client where the actual game-play took place. Note the Combine Commander was one of two programs used by the early Star Wars Combine simulation. Version 1.33 of the Combine Commander allowed the player to manage Non-Player Characters (NPC), as well as upgrades the internal mailing lists. The program was coded by Sim Master Fizzban in JAVA and was primarily designed for performing administrative tasks. When the Star Wars Combine first began, the Combine Commander was the software required to play the simulation.
